Alaska Stand Alone Pipeline

The proposed Alaska Stand Alone Gas Pipeline project (ASAP) is a buried in-state natural gas pipeline designed to provide long term stable natural gas supplies to Alaskans and is considered to be the backup plan to the Alaska LNG project. The ASAP project consists of a Gas Conditioning Facility on the North Slope and a 700-mile pipeline that ties into the ENSTAR system near Point Mackenzie in the Mat-Su Valley. The project also includes a 30-mile spur line to Fairbanks and plans for additional off-take points that could be developed to deliver natural gas to other Alaskan communities. The project is being advanced by the Alaska Gasline Development Corporation (AGDC).
