WNS Utility Pipeline
ConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc. (CPAI) applied on June 9, 2023, for a private non-exclusive easement to construct the Western North Slope (WNS) Utility Pipeline (WNSUP). The WNSUP would originate at the Kuparuk Central Processing Facility 2 (CPF2) and end at the planned Willow Central Facility (WCF). The utility pipeline would transport seawater for injection in Willow target reservoirs and provide a future offtake point at a Miscible Injectant/Grind and Inject (MIGI) pad for tie-in to the Alpine Utility seawater pipeline, that is used to transport seawater to the Colville River Unit and Greater Mooses Tooth Unit. CPAI proposes to install the 64 mile 20-inch utility pipeline on new pipeline supports with the proposed WNS Products and Willow Sales Oil Pipelines. Approximately 22.2 miles of the pipeline would cross state lands.
