Maps Collection and Publications by Area

The Division of Oil and Gas Cartographic Library is a collection of maps and displays covering a variety of subjects related to Oil and Gas development and issues. The collections include oil and gas maps, regional tract maps, and area maps for the region.

The Division of Oil and Gas map collection mainly covers five areawide areas in Alaska which come under the Oil & Gas Leasing program insituted by the State. These five areas are Alaska Peninsula, Beaufort Sea, Cook Inlet, North Slope and North Slope Foothills. In addition to these we have maps of exploration licesnse areas, geothermal lease areas and other geologic, seismic and biologic maps.
